At the American Film Market, IM Global has made an agreement to fully finance the action drama Hummingbird starring Jason Statham.
Steve Knight, who previously wrote the screenplays for Dirty Pretty Things and Eastern Promises, makes the transition to the director’s chair when he shoots the $20 million dollar film early next year in London.
According to Deadline, Statham plays a “damaged ex-Special Forces soldier trapped in London’s criminal underworld but he becomes an avenging angel when he is able to assume another identity.”
