Martin McDonaugh’s Seven Psychopaths Loses Rourke, Gains Woody Harrelson

Casting News, News, Projects

Talk about an upgrade. Earlier this week Mickey Rourke did a one eighty on Seven Psychopaths from In Bruges director Martin McDonaugh. He has since been replaced by Woody Harrelson (who will next be seen in Oren Moverman’s Rampart).

Other new additions to the cast include Tom Waits (The Book of Eli, The Outsiders) and Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace).

In Seven Psychopaths, Colin Farrell plays struggling screenwriter Marty. When his friend Billy (Sam Rockwell), an unemployed actor/part-time dog thief, decides to help they, along with Hans (Christopher Walken), plot to steal a psychopathic gangster’s (Woody Harrelson) prized Shih Tzu. When Harrleson discovers his pet is missing, he goes on the hunt.

CBS Films is distributing the picture, which will more than likely arrive in the last quarter of 2012.
