There were a lot of tears backstage at Dancing With The Stars last night and it was primarily because of the video packages that were played before their performances as the stars cried seeing their mothers cry.
Ricki Lake said that her partner didn’t want her to watch the video because he thought it would adversely affect her.
“Derek [Hough] didn’t want me to watch [the video]. But I couldn’t help but see some of those images,” she said to E! Online. “I was twice the size I am now and I’ve worked really hard to have the body I have. I got really emotional.”
Rob Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner also wept and the night’s second-place finisher discussed it after the show.
“I mean for her to cry, to see me doing something that she never in her life would have imagined me doing, I shocked myself. So she’s probably shocked and happy,” he said to E! Online.
As for J.R. Martinez’s ankle injury, he said that it continued to bothered him even after the dances were over.
“I’m sore. I’m sore right now but you know it is what it is. I’m just going to rest my ankle as much as I can this week and hopefully America will put us through.”
