After a billionaire murderer (Brad Dourif) that Lassiter puts away pleas insanity at his trial, Shawn and Gus go undercover at a mental hospital in order to prove that the man is not insane. At the hospital, Shawn and Gus receive some hostility from one of the nurses, special guest star (Molly Ringwald).
A little more investigation and a little less comedy this week from Psychic Detective Shawn Spencer but still an all around good episode. Lassiter once again needs Spencer to come aboard and help investigate a case that Lassiter has recently closed.
Guest star Brad Dourif is wasted in a almost nonspeaking role and Molly Ringwald, although fun to see, made it clear what her reason for being in the episode was from her opening scene. Lets try and keep us guessing from time to time guys!
Lassiter, Jules, the nonexistent Chief Vick, and Mr. Spencer, once again wasted, and no Woody The Coroner either?! Whats the point in assembling a terrific ensemble cast and not using them?
