After the kerfluffle with Michelle Bachman’s appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, The Roots must now have their music selections cleared by NBC. The band had played an obscure Fishbone song called “Lyin’ Ass Bitch” to introduce the controversial politician, and got caught red-handed by observant fans. Band leader Questlove must now have three different people approve his song choices, showing that NBC is still the hippest and coolest network run by grandparents.
