InsidePulse Wrestling’s WWE NXT Report

Show starts with Matt Striker in the ring announcing that episode 100, and to celebrate, they will have former NXTer’s on the show in the upcoming weeks. Striker then brings out Michael McGillicutty. Striker tries to congratulate him on his success since NXT. McGillicutty blows him off, talks about Nexus & being a Tag Team Champion. McGillicutty says that NXT didn’t do anything for him. This brings out Alex Riley, who runs down McGillicutty for bad mouthing NXT, they start to fight, and it looks like we have a match.

Michael McGillicutty vs. Alex Riley
McGillicutty & Riley go back and forth to start the match, with McGillicutty dominating for the most part. The match is actually very slow & boring. They cut to a ‘commercial’, which is just a recap of Chris Jericho’s return. They come back and McGillicutty has Riley in head lock. Riley fights out, hits a series of clotheslines, then the a spinebuster for 2. McGillicutty fights back with a Sieto Suplex. McGillicutty goes to the top, but Riley hits the ropes to crotch him. Riley follows it with a Superplex that gets a 2 count. Riley puts McGillicutty in the Fireman’s Carry, but McGillicutty slides out, goes for a boot to the face, but Riley dodges it, back to the Fireman’s, and Riley hits the TKO for the pin.
Winner – Alex Riley

Recap of Maxine leaving Derrick Bateman and making out with Johnny Curtis. They cut to Bateman & Kaitlyn talking about a clean break from Maxine. Maxine & Curtis join the mix and there was a lot of bickering, and a kiss between Maxine & Curtis. We have Kaitlyn vs. Maxine next.

Maxine vs. Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn is ripped compared to Maxine, and shows it off by dominating the match. Kaitlyn goes for a powerslam, and Maxine turns it into standing Dragon Sleeper with a leg scissors, and Kaitlyn taps out.
Winner – Maxine

Yoshi Tatsu & Trent Barreta are playing WWE ’12 backstage. Tyler Reks & Curt Hawkins comes in, and Trent wants to let a new year be a new leaf in their feud. Trent offers Reks to play the video game, and as Reks picks up the controller, Yoshi shows off that it was covered in super glue, and Reks can not let go!

Trent Barreta (w/ Yoshi Tatsu) vs. Curt Hawkins (w/ Tyler Reks)
Reks comes down with the Xbox controller still stuck to his hands. Hawkins dominates the beginning the match. Hawkins with a huge scoop/slam. Trent fights back, sends Hawkins to the floor, and then hits a huge dive on the floor! Reks comes over, but Yoshi keeps him back while Trent gets Hawkins back in the ring. Hawkins takes over sending Trent to the corner, but then Trent dodges a charging Hawkins, who goes face first to the turnbuckle. Trent then hits a springboard Tornado DDT for the pin.
Winner – Trent Barreta

Recap of Darren Young taking out Titus O’Neal.

Darren Young vs. Derrick Bateman
Bateman hits the ring hot, and starts out strong, hitting a bit dropkick then a cover for 2. Both men on the apron, and Young hits a Back Suplex to the floor, and Bateman hits the floor hard. Back in the ring, Bateman turns things around by sending Young shoulder first though the turnbuckles to the ring post, and Young falls to the floor. Bateman hits a flying dropkick from the apron to the floor. Bateman sends Young back in the ring, and starts stomping away. Maxine & Johnny Curtis appear on the stage to announce that they are getting married in 2 weeks in Las Vegas. Bateman then turns around to Young who hits the Gut Check finisher.
Winner – Darren Young
