The Avengers Trailer Sets Viewing Record On iTunes

Marvel Studios is no doubt giddy that its latest trailer for The Avengers was seen by a lot of folks in the first 24 hours of its debut. The trailer has been viewed by over 13.7 million times, setting a new record for the most viewed trailer on iTunes. What this means is that the Twilight fans have their work cut out for them when Breaking Dawn – Part 2 rolls around.

Arriving to theaters on May 4th, The Avengers has been an ambitious project by Marvel Studios and various movie studios including Paramount Pictures and Universal Studios. Beginning with the release of Iron Man, Marvel has been building to a full-blown Avengers movie with the releases of The Incredible Hulk, an Iron Man sequel, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger.

In the ensemble pic directed by Joss Whedon the world’s greatest Super Heroes – Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – face off against Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
