Paul McCartney and John Lennon’s Childhood Homes Historically Preserved

News

And rightly so!

The English government has deemed the childhood homes of both John Lennon and Paul McCartney as historically significant. Lennon’s home, Mendips, is located on 251 Menlove Ave, where he lived for 20 years. McCartney is stone’s throw away at Forthlin Road. The preservation was granted by English Heritage, who believed the houses should be keepsakes for the huge amounts of practice and songwriting that occurred. George Harrison and Ringo Starr’s childhood homes have not been declared the same way. Pretty sure they wouldn’t agree.
