Thiago Santos Misses Weight, Eric Prindle Awarded Bellator Heavyweight Title Shot

News

After the fight between Thiago Santos and Eric Prindle ended in a controversial “no contest” last year, both fighters have been eager to get back into the cage and settle the score. With their return bout scheduled for Bellator 62, Santos missed weight by 12.7 lbs. Thursday evening and, as a result, it appears that the fight has been called off.

Prindle was awarded the title shot at Bellator Heavyweight champion Cole Konrad as well as the $100,000 tournament-winning prize.
