What Would The WWE Be Like If Brock Lesnar Never Left?

News, Top Story

WWE’s website published an intriguing story on the Brock Lesnar/John Cena feud with WWE veterans Booker T, William Regal and Dustin Rhodes addressing Lesnar’s sit-down promo on Monday’s Raw. To reinforce Lesnar as a heel, WWE framed the article as responding to Lesnar’s “outrageous claim” that Cena “wouldn’t have become a huge star if Lesnar stayed in WWE.”

Regal addressed whether Lesnar and Cena would have co-existed, while still weaving storyline into his comments to fit the story WWE is trying to tell. “There’s no way that things would be the way they are if Brock had never left. I’m not saying that Cena wouldn’t be the huge star that he is, but there’s not room for two of them in the same universe,” Regal said. “You can’t have two people with that…Elvis quality – which is that magic quality that you only come across once in a million. And, they’ve both got it. Usually, one fella has got to go, because when they collide, that’s the way it plays out.”

Quick Quip: I like the feel of the article & of this feud in general. Without knowing all of Brock’s personal, I don’t want to say issues, but I can’t think of a better word (he’d rather be on a farm than on the road), Brock Lesnar was posed to be the post-Attitude Era’s Undertaker. He was dominant, young, versatile and unique. We will never know what could have been but I like that they are playing off of what would have been the ideal history had Brock Lesnar stayed with the WWE.
