The Raid: Redemption Director To Helm MMA-Related Film – Gareth Davis Attached To Breaking The Bank
by Scott "Kubryk" Sawitz on May 7, 2012

Gareth Davis, of The Raid:Redemption fame, is attached to a really intriguing new film. It’s a biopic of Lee Murray, a former MMA fighter who logged time in the earlier days of the UFC (defeating Jorge Rivera at UFC 46), who masterminded the largest cash heist in history in England in 2006.

Based off the novel “Heist: The True Story Of The World’s Biggest Cash Robbery” by Howard Sounes, and the Sports Illustrated article “Breaking The Bank” by L. Jon Wertheim, the film originally had Darren Aronofsky attached to it before he opted for his take on Noah’s Ark.
