The Five-Year Engagement Announced For Blu-ray

Disc Announcements, News

The 2012 restricted comedy starring Jason Segel and Emily Blunt looks to find greater success at home.

In an early announcement to retailers, Universal Studios Home Entertainment is giving The Five-Year Engagement a Blu-ray release on August 28.

The comedy which once again reteams writer/director Nicholas Stoller with his Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Jason Segel arrived as a mixed bag in theaters, but it hopes to have a better shelf life on Blu-ray and DVD. Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from producer Judd Apatow looks at what happens when an engaged couple, Jason Segel and Emily Blunt, keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.

The Blu-ray/DVD/UV Digital Copy combo pack will include both the 125-minute R-rated Theatrical and 132-minute Unrated Director’s Cuts in 1080p video, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and a number of supplements.
