At the midway point of 2012, Adele has the biggest selling CD with “21”, and Gotye has the biggest selling single with “Somebody That I Used To Know”, both to the shock of no one. Adele’s CD has been tearing up the charts since release, and it also topped them at the midway point of 2011, and is also the only CD to sell more than a million copies this year. Gotye, meanwhile, has moved more than 5 million copies of his song, which is weird because you’d think people would save themselves the 99 cents and just turn on a radio.
