If any of you saw Prometheus in 3-D, chances are you saw an exclusive look at the upcoming release of Life of Pi directed by Ang Lee. The scene involves 16-year-old Pi Patel and his lifeboat passenger Richard Parker (a Bengal tiger) in the middle of the ocean. A school of fish come cascading over them as both Pi and Parker try for superiority in laying claim to the biggest fish that lands in their boat.
Life of Pi, written by Yann Martel, is imaginative and unforgettable, and a great story involving adventure, survival, and ultimately, faith. Under Lee’s direction, the colorful imagery of Martel’s words look to be in tact. Most assuredly, the film is a visual effects smorgasbord. Watch the trailer and see for yourself.
