AVX Spoilers: And Then There Were How Many Phoenix’s?

Spoilers

What chance does Spider-Man really have at stopping two of the Phoenix Four? Especially when one of them fought him to a stalemate during AVX Vs. without the Phoenix power up (and let’s be fair, if the fix wasn’t in Spidey would have gotten wrecked by Colossus).

Apparently his best chance is in his ability to talk constantly despite his face being punched in. Able to prey on the fragile psyches of our insane Russian mutants, Spidey is able to use the nature of the division of Phoenix Power against them.

How? By reminding them that if one were to fall, the other would grow more powerful, and trusting that the corruption in their souls is enough to incite one hell of a sibling rivalry. It really didn’t hurt that both were twisted beyond recognition by this point, obsessed with their own powers. Illyana because she’s an evil witch, and Colossus because he has a demon in his soul named Cyttorak.

The end result…both go down. Scott arrives.

And then there were two.
