In what’s perhaps the biggest no-brainer of 2012, Marvel Studios and Disney have brought Joss Whedon back on board to write and direct the sequel to the year’s biggest film The Avengers.
Disney Chairman Bob Iger announced this Tuesday on a conference call with analysts. In addition, Whedon will create a “Marvel-based” series for ABC Iger said.
What does this mean? It’s the easiest decision to make for Marvel & Disney; the man behind one of the biggest films of all time and the biggest opening in cinematic history is now going to create a sequel to the film.
