WWE Returning to CW, Saturday Mornings

News

WWE will have a new Saturday morning show as it returns to the CW Network August 25 at 10am.

WWE Saturday Morning Slam will be part of a new Saturday morning kids block on the broadcast network and will feature one match and profiles/other segments. This marks WWE’s return to CW since Smackdown moved to Syfy.

So for those of you keeping score at home, WWE as of this fall will have:

Monday Night Raw (3 hours)
WWE Main Event (1 hour, Wednesdays)
WWE Superstars (1 hour, online, Thursdays)
Friday Night Smackdown (2 hours)
Saturday Morning Slam (1 hour)

These 8 hours of TV a week of course don’t include the monthly PPVs, reruns or recap shows like AM Raw, all of the YouTube short form shows like Z True Long Island Story, or international shows like the new NXT, After Burn, Bottom Line, This Week in WWE, The WWE Experience and WWE Vintage Collection. With new programs every day of the week except Tuesdays (when Smackdown tapes), we don’t envy WWE’s writing team!

Speaking of writing, if you’d like to apply for one of our open show recap slots, post in the comments section below.
