Eric Clapton is getting into the art business, as he will be selling Gerhard Richter’s “Abstraktes Bild (809-4)” for a potential $19 million payoff. The painting was originally purchased for $3.4 million in 2001, and will go to auction at Sotheby’s next month. Richter has become one of the most sought-after artists in recent years, with his last painting going for $21 million. You know, if Clapton needs the cash that badly, he could always take it onto Pawn Stars and probably talk Rick into $12 million. Just throwing it out there.
