It’s odd that they stopped at 16 men, why not add Uso’s, Riley and Hawkins? Slater starts the match saying that he’s the One Man Band, and everyone attacks him and tosses him out. The eliminations become fast & often, as Brodus & Tensai dominate. The two of them finally go nose to nose. The PTP & Drew help Tensai get Brodus over the top. Recap of Kane & Daniel Bryan’s Anger Management sessions

WWE Tag Team Championship
Kofi Kingston & R-Truth (c) vs. Team Friendship

Kofi is in new yellow tights, with Truth in white pants with yellow print. I’m not sure if this continues Kofi’s comic/movie tights, he is not staying still enough, although the argument can be made that it’s Bumblebee from Transformers. Kane dominates the match. He & Bryan get into an argument, and they shove each other back and forth. Bryan wants to Hug It Out. Kofi then makes his way in, and he is on fire. Kofi hits the Boom Drop on Bryan. Kofi is calling for Trouble in Paradise, but Kane pulls Bryan out of the ring to save him from the kick. Kane & Bryan argue as Kane climbs the top rope for his clothesline. Kofi comes to, and tries a top rope hurra canrana, but Bryan holds on to Kane’s leg! They argue some more, and Bryan shoves Kane off the top, and he lands on Kofi for the pin!!
Winner & NEW Champions – Team Friendship

After the match, both Kane & Bryan argue that they, by themselves, are the tag team champions.

Eve updates Booker that Kaitlyn is unable to compete tonight. Booker says that she will still get her shot at a later date. Teddy then says that it is Night of Champions, and Layla has to defend the title. Booker gives Eve the match.

Dolph Ziggler (w/ Vickie Guerrero) vs. Randy Orton

JBL is continuing to be the highlight of the night. Cole is reacting very well to everything too, as we are back to the face play-by-play and the heel color system, and it works wonderfully. Back & forth match to start. Ziggler goes for the Famasser, but Orton turns it into a Powerbomb for 2. Duel chants seems like there are more Dolph fans then Orton. WWE Diva’s Championship

Cole mentions that it’s odd that Eve got the match after Kaitlyn was attacked. They go back and forth to start, Eve is acting respectful, and not heel-like at all. Layla wants to shake hands mid-match and Eve kicks her in the gut and sends Layla to the floor. Eve then becomes very aggressive. Layla ties to fight back, but Eve hits her neckbreaker finisher and gets the win.

Alberto is in new black attire with gold trim & Sheamus is sporting new white with green trim tights. Before the match, Booker comes out and says that after concluding his investigation, the ban on the Borough Kick is lifted. As the bell rung, Sheamus goes for the Borough Kick right away, and hits Otunga instead of Alberto. JBL calls Del Rio ‘ADR’. Awesome. Cole mentions that the WHC is only 10 years old, so it does not have the linage of the WCW Championship. Sheamus hits the White Noise. Crowd is chanting for Ziggler. Sheamus starts to call for the Borough Kick, but Alberto ducks it, hits a Shining Wizard on Sheamus for 2. Alberto with an armbreaker using his knees, then locks in the Cross Armbreaker finally. Sheamus powers out, by lifting up Alberto and hitting a Power Bomb. Recap of Cena vs. Punk…what a promo to end Raw last week.

WWE Championship
CM Punk (c) (w/ Paul Heyman) vs. John Cena

Paul Heyman announces Punk to the ring. Punk is wearing white tights with navy pinstripes in Boston! (Don’t worry fellow Chicagoans, still has the 4 stars). Cena is out in his new Breast Cancer Awareness garb with the classic jorts. Punk stalls while holding up the belt, trying to get into Cena’s head. Cena’s dad is ringside. The match starts out slow, seemingly to build that ‘big fight feel’ that Cole keeps talking about. They fight to the floor, and Cena tosses Punk over the wall next to his dad. Cena pulls Punk back over the wall with a Fisherman’s Suplex. Back in the ring, Cena goes for the AA, but Punk slides out and kicks Cena in the side of the head. Punk is calling for the GTS, but Cena counters it by grabbing Punk’s leg, and locking in the STF again. Punk is working towards the ropes for the break, and he finally gets there. They cut to a worries Heyman standing at ringside. Cena charges Punk as he finally gets up, but Punk gets Cena up, and nails the GTS, but only gets a 2 count! Punk is clearly frustrated, and is just stomping away on Cena. Punk goes for the GTS again, Cena slides through, goes for the AA, Punk slides out, but Cena hits the back powerbomb, and the 5 Knuckle Shuffle, followed by the AA, but only gets a 2 count!

The ref stops the music, and says that both men’s shoulders will on the mat, and the match is a DRAW?!? Cena wants the match restarted, but Punk lays him out with the title belt.
