Former WWE Star Dave Bautista Gets New Opponent For MMA Debut

News, Video

Dave Bautista has been furiously training for his professional MMA debut the last year or so. Now he gets a new opponent as Rashid Evans, his originally scheduled opponent, has been forced to drop out because he was in prison.

No, that’s not a misprint. Rashid Evans has been in jail for violating his parole and now the former bodybuilder is getting Vince Lucero. Lucero is on a two fight winning streak against relatively inexperienced fighters, which was preceded by dropping nine of his previous ten. A veteran of Bellator and the IFL as well, Lucero comes into the cage with a number of losses to high profile fighters including Tim Sylvia and Roy Nelson.
