Murtz On The Scene: Exclusive Interview With Nashville‘s Hayden Panettiere At CTV Upfront 2012

Features, Interviews, Top Story, Video

One of the top picks of the new Fall season finally debuts tonight on CTV Two.

Nashville is Callie Khouri’s ABC import where Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights, American Horror Story), plays Rayna James, a country legend whose popularity is starting to wane with the younger country crowd. Her label suggests a concert tour where she opens up for aggressive up-and-comer Juliette Barnes, played by Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) is what James needs to revive her falling sales. The power struggle between old and new represented by Rayna vs. Juliette is the core storyline for the series, that also represents the Nashville music scene nicely.

At the CTV Upfront presentation in May, I had the chance to catch up with Panettiere and we discussed the differences between her last show and this one, working with Connie Britton and why people should tune in tonight.
