Legal and Illegal Options Surface To Watch Young Justice Invasion Before The Dawn, Season 2, Episode 10, Despite Cartoon Network’s Cancellation or Postponement of DC Nation

News, Shows, Top Story

UPDATE 1: Since there was a legal option to watch the cancelled / postponed Before the Dawn episode of Young Justice Invasion, I was able to prepare my usual weekend YJ recap. It focuses on the Top 5 developments of the episode and can be found here. We also share information on a petition being circulated concerning the DC Nation block.

UPDATE 2: A teaser video for the second half of Season 2 is available here. Some interesting cameos coming up now starting in 2013.

Following up yesterday’s controversy over the abrupt cancellation of Young Justice Invasion’s Before the Dawn episode (Season 2, Episode 10) and rest of DC Nation on October 13, 2012, came official word that in fact DC Nation has been shuttered for the remainder of 2012.

New episodes of Young Justice Invasion, Green Lantern The Animated Series and others would now be available at the beginning of 2013. Where new DC Nation shows like Beware the Batman fit into Cartoon Network’s 2013 schedule have yet to be solidified.

Today it surfaced that fans can choose to purchase the Before the Dawn episode for $2.99 on iTunes’s Young Justice page. In addition a multi-part rebroadcast of the iTune episode is currently available on YouTube. I imagine both of these options will be pulled soon. Enjoy while you can, the legal option anyway. The fact that the show is available legally on iTunes reinforces that the cancellation was an abrupt decision by Cartoon Network and / or DC Entertainment.

Also, it is interesting that the Steam Lantern episode of Green Lantern the Animated Series that was also cancelled / postponed is NOT available on the iTunes GL page. Nor is last week’s actual episode that aired.

Thanks for reading. All feedback welcome.
