DC Nation Hiatus Petition Surpasses 8,000 In Under 3 Days & Facebook Group Surges Past 600 Members (Young Justice Invasion, Green Lantern The Animated Series, Cartoon Network)

News, Shows, Top Story

The “little petition that could” has almost reached its 10,000 e-signature goal. The petition is in response to Cartoon Network’s abrupt cancellation of last weekend’s DC Nation block of programming and subsequent postponement of new episodes to January 2013. That means Young Justice Invasion Season 2 and Green Lantern The Animated Series are on hiatus again after just returning from one with only 2 episodes.

The petition went active midday on Saturday October 13th and around 11:55 p.m. on Monday October 15th crossed 8,000. Interestingly the petition’s goal was 10,000. It will clearly surpass this goal very soon, but how high will it go? If you wish to sign it, you can click here.

A Facebook page, by another organizer, has also been created. It has the same intended purpose of the petition: for CN to reverse its decision and provide new DC Nation content in 2012. That FB page has gone past 600 members in a few days. If you wish to join, check out End the DC Nation Hiatus.

Fandom disappointment is at all time high with Cartoon Network and anger continues to be white-hot for others. So far Young Justice Invasion fans seem to be the most vocal.

Lastly, if you’re interested in viewing the Young Justice Invasion sizzle real / Season 2 preview click here. Sadly, unless things change, we have until at least January 2013 before we get new Young Justice Invasion episodes.

Thanks for reading. All feedback welcome.
