CB’s Slant: The final card for Final Resolution looks serviceable enough to me. It doesn’t scream out as a MUST-SEE event, but there are some elements that I’ll try to check out.

Most notably, I am really looking forward to Daniels vs. Styles and Kenny King vs. RVD (especially is King wins). I know the first match has been done a million times, but I don’t care because I never get sick of AJ and Daniels facing each other. I also love it as the second-to-the-top-billed match (and I hope it stays as the second-to-last match Sunday night) because I think it will serve as a nice buffer between the Aces and 8s / Hogan Knows Best-esque nonsense we’ll be getting from the Ray-Aries and Aces and 8s tag matches.

Speaking of Devon and D.O.C. and the gang, I am pretty sure we’ll get the big reveal on Sunday that Brisco and Bischoff have been with Aces and 8s all along, with storyline being that Kurt Angle was tricked by Brisco and Garrett. The hopeful offshoot of this is that I hope it leads to Angle and Samoa Joe getting beat down by Aces and 8s, which will piss of Joe to the point he blames Angle for being put in that position. This can lead to Angle vs. Joe again, and I’d sign up for that in a heartbeat if they went in that direction.

As for Roode vs. Hardy, I actually think this one could go either way. The problem here is I don’t necessarily care if Hardy or Roode is the champ, so I have no personal investment in the match. That kind of makes the whole PPV seem a little unnecessary to me, but I’ll be curious to see what the angle is if Roode does come out on top. Lastly, do they really need to go with Roode working with Aces and 8s? I hope that doesn’t happen, but that just might be the case.

That’s all from me — CB.
