Fan Favorite X-Factor, Young Justice, Star Trek Writer Peter David Recovering From Stroke
by John Babos on December 30, 2012

Today on his official website, fan favorite writer Peter David announced he had suffered a stroke and was getting his medical situation assessed.

We were on vacation in Florida when I lost control of the right side of my body. I cannot see properly and I cannot move my right arm or leg. We are currently getting the extent of the damage sorted out and will report as further details become clarified.

Peter David is single-handedly responsible for bringing great joy and entertainment to readers of his eclectic comic projects and novels. I’ve been a fan of Peter’s work for decades particularly his Star Trek novels and his comic projects for DC Comics and Marvel from old school fun Young Justice to Incredible Hulk to X-Factor and more. He’s also written episodes for TV including for DC Nation’s Young Justice on Cartoon Network.

Comics Nexus staff are sending our thoughts and prayers to Peter and his family during this time and wish him a speedy recovery.
