Who is the DC New 52’s White Lantern? Well, this may not be much of a spoiler considering DC Comics’ cover to February’s Green Lantern: New Guardians #17. It also looks to be a short-term assignment based on the question raised by DC’s solicit for April‘s New Guardians #19.
Anyhow, if you didn’t click on those links and don’t want to have Green Lantern New Guardians #16 spoiled, read no further.
Spoilers follow. You have been warned.
Looks like Kyle has mastered the emotional spectrum and manifested that as the power of the White Lantern. Also turns out that the power of the White Lantern can destroy the Third Army “zombies” of the mad Guardians of the Universe. Can Kyle save the day, um, the universe?
Wow, Aaron Kuder is a pretty solid artist. Loving his work on this series alongside writer Tony Bedard.
So, we’ve had Sinestro (Blackest Night), Swamp Thing (Brightest Day) and now Kyler Rayner as THE White Lantern for DC Comics and now in the DC New 52. Who do you think will follow Kyle in this role in April’s New Guardians #19?
And, now, I guess this is a good time to look back at 2010’s White Lantern comic book variant covers opus for the Brightest Day maxi-series.
