Demetrious Johnson vs. John Moraga flyweight title fight headlines TUF 17 Finale

News

UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson (17-2-1, 5-1-1 UFC) will make his second title defense in April as he defends against John Moraga (13-1, 2-0 UFC) at The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale in Las Vegas.

The card is rapidly beginning to fill up. Announced earlier today were fights between Gabriel Gonzaga and Travis Browne, and Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano.

Also to be added to the card is a pair of featherweight fights. Bart Palaszewski (36-16, 1-2 UFC) will square off against Cole Miller (18-7, 7-5 UFC) and Daniel Pineda (17-9, 2-2 UFC) will meet Justin Lawrence (4-1, 1-1 UFC).

Johnson recently fought at UFC On FOX 5 on January 26 when he scored a decision win over John Dodson to retain the UFC Flyweight Championship. Moraga gets his title shot on the strength of seven straight wins, which included the last two in the UFC over Ulysses Gomez and Chris Cariaso. Moraga has just one loss in his career, which coincidentally came to Dodson.

The TUF 17 Finale takes place on April 13 in Las Vegas and will air on FX, FUEL TV and Facebook.
