Jeremy Stephens Goes to Featherweight, Faces Estevan Payan at UFC 160

News

After losses to Anthony Pettis, Donald Cerrone and Yves Edwards at lightweight, it was time for a change. Jeremy Stephens has moved down to featherweight and will welcome Estevan Payan to the Octagon at UFC 160.

UFC 160 takes place May 25th and will feature UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez defending his title against Antonio Silva.

Smith’s take
Smart move for Stephens, who was dangerously close to a release due to some pretty big losses. “Lil Heathen” has a chance to rewrite his career path and moves away from a stacked lightweight division. Also, as we’ve seem of late, a few good wins at 145 pounds can get you a title shot pretty quickly.
