DreamWorks Pictures and Walt Disney Home Entertainment has detailed two Blu-ray releases of Steven Speilberg’s Lincoln, starring recent Academy Award winner (Best Actor) Daniel Day Lewis and fellow nominees Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones. The historical drama will street on March 26th.
Inspired by the true-life events confronting Abraham Lincoln and his monumental moral and political challenge to amend the United States Constitution to permanently abolish slavery, and based in part on the book “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln” by Doris Kearns Goodwin, Lincoln is a rich and compelling historical and human drama that has been hailed as one of the best film of the year. In-depth bonus features on the film’s two Blu-ray releases takes viewers behind-the-scenes of director Spielberg’s life-long fascination with Lincoln and the 12 years it took to bring the story of one of history’s and mankind’s greatest triumphs to the screen.
Lincoln features a DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround track, and will be available via a 4-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + Bonus Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy) and a standard 2-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (1-disc Blu-ray + 1-disc DVD):
