Miesha Tate Wants To Fight Women Not Transexuals, Liz Carmouche Less So – Fallon Fox, Joe Rogan Weigh In On Subject
by Scott "Kubryk" Sawitz on March 19, 2013

Miesha Tate weighed in on the Fallon Fox controversy to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, as well as former #1 contender Liz Carmouche, to surprisingly different results. You can read the full article here.

“I wouldn’t do it,” Tate told ESPN.com. “If there was solid research that [proved] she’s 100 percent like a female, then I might consider it.

“I have nothing against transgender people. You should live your life however you want. It’s about fighter safety. I wouldn’t feel comfortable getting in with someone who is a woman but developed as a man. I just don’t think it would be safe.”

Carmouche, who came close to submitting Ronda Rousey in the very first women’s bout in the UFC, apparently has no problem with it. Again, per ESPN:

“I understand she fights in a regional organization right now but, if she makes it to the UFC, and fights in the 135lbs female bantamweight division, I’d be happy to fight her,” Carmouche said in a statement.

Fox spoke to AXS TV’s Inside MMA with her own opinions on the subject:

And as always Joe Rogan, UFC color commentator, weighed in on the subject during his “Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.
