The UFC returns to Toronto for the third straight year in September with UFC 165 taking place on September 21 at the Air Canada Centre. The announcement was made on Tuesday’s edition of UFC Tonight.

No fights were announced for the event, which will air on pay-per-view.

It will be the fourth event held in Toronto. The UFC’s most recent trip to Toronto was on September 22, 2012 for UFC 152 headlined by Jon Jones against Vitor Belfort. UFC 140 was also held at the Air Canada Centre and was also headlined by Jon Jones as he faced Lyoto Machida.

The Octagon debuted in the city inside the Rogers Centre for UFC 129 when Georges St. Pierre defended the UFC Welterweight Championship against Jake Shields in front of a UFC-record 55,724 fans and a record $12 millon gate.

It will be the third Canada event for the UFC in 2013. UFC 158 was held in March at the Bell Centre in Montreal and was headlined by Georges St. Pierre successfully defending the UFC Welterweight Championship against Nick Diaz. The UFC returns in June for a first-time appearance in Winnipeg as Interim UFC Banamweight Champion Renan Barao headlines UFC 161 against challenger Eddie Wineland.
