Here comes the summer with the hot days and night time fun. Shouldn’t their entertainment also reflect the season’s fun spirit? This is the perfect time to hang out near the water to stay cool. Bubble Guppies: Sunny Days! contains six episodes that celebrate the season. The show is about a bunch of little mermen, mermaids and a merpuppy. They do a lot of singing and dancing while exploring a subject. “The Beach Ball!” takes the aquatic creatures down to the beach. They help out a lobster that works at a surf shack. The guppies go camping in “The Legend of Pinkfoot!” This is where they learn about telling spooky stories around the campfire. “Bring On the Bugs!” is the last thing you say during the summer. But bugs are what little kids enjoy studying. The circus comes to town in “The Sizzling Scampinis.” Can the guppies handle life under the big top? The birds give an aerial show in “Bubble Duckies!” “Gup, Gup and Away!” sends the swimmers into the air for a plane flight. But there’s the threat of air pirates. Overall it’s another collection that quickly becomes addictive to preschoolers and kindergartners. Here’s Josie to give her opinion of Bubble Guppies: Summer Days!

The video is 1.33:1 full frame. It’s kind of strange to not be widescreen, but this is how the show airs on Nick Jr. The animation looks good. The audio is Dolby Digital Stereo. The songs come through extra sharp. The episodes are Closed Captioned.

There are no bonus features.

Bubble Guppies: Sunny Days! brings a warm time to the underwater critters. The show is extremely addictive to kids with the songs and creative adventures.
