Round 2 – Pierce comes out and embraces the clinch again, Mitchell against the cage, as he looks to work a level change one more time. Mitchell’s defense is still excellent; he’s doing lots of good things with his hands to keep Pierce upright and away from his legs. Pierce is a bit more active this round, landing some strikes but Mitchell is clearly more active. We get a brief respite where some hands are thrown but Pierce goes for the clinch against the cage again. He still can’t get MItchell down, though, and Mitchell circles out.
