Jimy Hettes vs. Mike Wilkinson latest addition to UFC Fight Night 30

News

A featherweight bout featuring two fighters likely fighting to remain on the UFC roster has been added to the growing UFC Fight Night 30 card that takes place when the UFC returns to Manchester in October.

Jimy Hettes (10-1, 2-1 UFC) will square off with Mike Wilkinson (8-1, 1-1 UFC) on the fight card. MMA Fighting first reported the bout.

Hettes will be stepping into the Octagon for the first time in over a year when the bout commences. He was last seen at UFC 152 in September 2012 when he suffered the first loss of his career in dropping a decision to Marcus Brimage. He had won all ten of his previous bouts, including a pair of wins in the UFC over Nam Phan and Alex Caceres. He was scheduled to fight Steven Siler at UFC 159 in April before an injury sidelined him.

Wilkinson makes his third appearance in the UFC. He too saw his undefeated streak stopped in his last bout as he was submitted by Rony Jason at UFC On FUEL TV 10 in June. Wilkinson appeared on “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes”, and while he didn’t make it to the finals, he defeated Brandan Loughnane in his UFC debut at UFC On FX 6 in December.

UFC Fight Night 30 takes place on Oct. 26 from the Phones 4U Arena in Manchester, England. The main card airs on FOX Sports 2 while preliminary fights air on Facebook. Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz headline the card in a five-round middleweight bout.
