News, Spoilers

Following last week’s big Week 2 Villains Month spoilers, we’re now into Week 3 of DC Comics New 52 Villains Month alongside their big Forever Evil event. Spoilers for Action Comics #23.3: Lex Luthor #1, Batman The Dark Knight #23.3: Clayface #1, Wonder Woman #23.1: Cheetah #1 and Flash #23.3 Rogues #1, which sets up Forever Evil: Rebellion #1 in October, are below. For further spoilers featuring Black Hand, Deathstroke and DC’s newest Manhunter click here.

Spoilers follow.

Flash #23.3 Rogues #1

This was an interesting issue that sets up Forever Evil: Rogues Rebellion #1. That is one of three other mini-series beginning in October to run parallel with the main Forever Evil mini series; those other minis are Forever Evil: Arkham War and Forever Evil: ARGUS. Flash #23.3 Rogues #1 shows what the priorities of the Rogues are vis-a-vis the Secret Society and Earth 3’s Crime Syndicate.

Batman The Dark Knight #23.3: Clayface #1

We’ve seen other Villains Month books that show why some villains choose to oppose the Secret Society and the Crime Syndicate. Batman The Dark Knight #23.3: Clayface #1 may showcase the first less than virtuous reason: revenge! Clayface tries hard to become a member of the Secret Society and finds himself unwittingly throwing a monkey wrench into the Society’s plans. Frustrated, what will Clayface do next? Hmmm.

Wonder Woman #23.1: Cheetah #1

Of all the Villains Month issues I’ve read, this is the most mysterious one as it related to the Secret Society. We get a pretty intense issue in Wonder Woman #23.1: Cheetah #1 that ends with the villainess being recruited by the Secret Society. What’s next for the Cheetah in Forever Evil?

Superman’s Action Comics #23.3: Lex Luthor #1

Action Comics #23.3 brings us Lex Luthor #1. It bridges us from his earlier scarred jail-bird portrayal to his free and flawless portrayal from Forever Evil #1.

Thanks for reading. All feedback welcome. :)
