Forever Evil Spoilers: How Does Black Hand Make Things Personal?

Spoilers

Remember Black Hand? Silver age villain that Geoff Johns brought back in Green Lantern Rebirth? Eventually became the avatar of Death for Nekron and the General of the Black Lanterns in Blackest Night? Who came back for some uber creepy action near the end of Johns epic run on Green Lantern?

If the answer to any of this is no then I have to imagine you’re brand new to comics, because he’s been a pretty major bad guy for the last few years. He also was killed off, again, at the end of Geoff’s Green Lantern, when Hal became the Black Lantern and Black hand withered to dust in the middle of the Dead Zone.

Well, a Black Lantern Ring fell to Earth during the beginning of Forever Evil, and Black Hand was reformed from the ashes and body parts of so many bodies at the mortuary. He’s without memories though…at first. He still has his ability to kill with a touch and bring back a zombie with another, and this leads to him creating an army for himself. He eventually finds his way to a cemetary and to the grave of Martin Jordan, and that brings back the memories. He brings Hal’s father back from the grave and takes his hand, replacing his missing right hand with it, meaning that his ring hand is now Hal’s fathers.
