Angelo Savoldi, the world’s oldest living professional wrestler, passed away last week Friday(9/20/13) at the age of 99. Savoldi, whose real name was Mario Fornini, began his wrestling career in the 1930s, and became the first American to ever main event in the Puerto Rican territory, before moving back to the states and becoming a five-time NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion. At the end of his career, near the end of the ’60s and into the ’70s, he worked for WWWF and was a minority business partner in the company. A professional wrestling living a long full life is something rare these days.
The TNA roster page has recently been updated with two names being removed. The contracts of Mickie James and Ken Anderson have come up and no new deal has been reached as of this writing. Will the two former WWE Superstar’s return to the open door in TNA Wrestling? Or will they attempt a return to the company that made them big names to begin with in the WWE? Can TNA continue to lose names?
