Building on the preview pages from Forever Evil Rogues Rebellion #1 that sets the stage for this mini-series and sheds light on their state of mind, with an opening body count thrown in, issue #1 has some twists and turns that make for an interesting ride.
We learn that The Grid not only controls all forms of digital communication during the Forever Evil blackout, he/it can also control medical equipment! The Crime Syndicate’s message for Earth is depicted on the Glider’s heart monitor.
And, like the Flash’s Rogues who travel in a pack, so do Firestorms’ Rogues doing the bidding of the Crime Syndicate / Secret Society.
And, just who is the most powerful Rogue? My money is on Mirror Master!
The Rogues don’t like the new world order. So, how does the Crime Syndicate respond? Uh oh.
Despite the choppy art, this was an intriguing kick off issue with a unique voice from Forever Evil: Arkham War.
The third and last concurrent Forever Evil mini-series is Forever Evil: ARGUS. That mini-series had its logo revealed in this week’s DC Comics New 52 offerings in a teaser ad.
