Trinity of Sin Pandora #4 Spoilers: How Much Of A Forever Evil Tie-In Is It? Plus Crime Syndicate Expands? (DC Comics New 52 In Review)

News, Spoilers

Earlier this month, we asked how much of a Forever Evil Tie-In was Trinity of Sin Phantom Stranger #12. The answer was: not very. Now its companion Trinity of Sin title, Trinity of Sin Pandora #4, gets the same treatment. Is the answer the same or different?

Spoilers follow.

Unlike Trinity of Sin Phantom Stranger #12, Trinity of Sin Pandora #4 is very much both a Trinity War tie-in as well as a Forever Evil tie-in.

The book opens with Pandora on Earth 3 after the conclusion of Trinity War in Justice League #23. The follow pages were released as part of DC Comics New 52 preview of Trinity of Sin of Pandora #4 in advance of the book’s publication. In it, we have the debut and exit of another Crime Syndicate Villain!

In that preview we see how devastated Earth 3 is and we also meet Martian Manhunter’s Earth 3 Crime Syndicate doppelganger.

Beyond the preview, through the rest of the issue, we also see his fate – and that of Trinity War’s “Pandora’s Box” (a.k.a. the gold skull) – and how Pandora can travel between Earth 3 and Prime Earth.

We also learn that Pandora wants her Earth 3 technology – that Pandora’s Box – to be fixed and functional again. And there’s one person she knows that can do that.

The Outsider! The Alfred Pennyworth of Earth 3 whose origin was revealed during DC Comics New 52’s Villains Month. Looks like next month will be big.

In short, Trinity of Sin Pandora #4 is actually a pretty decent Forever Evil tie-in which is an exact opposite to Trinity of Sin Phantom Stranger #12.
