According to several reports, AJ Styles and TNA Wrestling have not been able to come to an agreement on a new contract. Styles’ contract expires this coming Monday (December 16th) and his TNA return looks bleaker by the day. He has also started taking more independent bookings unrelated to his recent storyline-driven tour with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
CB’s Slant: This would be a huge loss for TNA, if not their death knell. I’d love to see Styles in this year’s WWE Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant, and perhaps after that he can have a serviceable turn in WWE if Vince McMahon and Company wants him. That’s a big if at this point, but if I were WWE I’d definitely bring him in.
