At WWE TLC, AJ Lee retained her Divas Championship by beating Natalya in their scheduled match.
AJ kept her prized championship reign going even though she received some heat backstage with WWE management over an incident with NBC Sports talk-show host Michelle Beadle at last week’s WWE Tribute to the Troops taping.
According to reports, Beadle called CM Punk “f%#^face” and when word got back to Lee she snapped and confronted Beadle in front of everyone.
The irreverent Beadle (that’s a huge part of her persona), in her defense, said she’s known Punk for years and she uses that derogatory term all the time when addressing her friends jokingly.
CB’s Slant: WrestleMania XXX storyline, anyone? Seriously, this is a non-issue for me, as long as AJ doesn’t get punished in storylines or on camera. If they want to fine her for what seems to be a huge misunderstanding and move on, then that’s okay, but after that this should be forgotten about quickly.
