Green Arrow #27 Spoilers: Where CW’s Arrow & DC’s Green Arrow Further Diverge? Why Was Oliver Queen Stranded On The Island & Who Was Behind It All? (DC Comics New 52 In Review)

As with the CW Arrow TV show, the comic book featuring Green Arrow and his alter ego Oliver Queen, has revealed morsels about Oliver’s presumed island captivity. Oliver Queen was seemingly stranded on a mysterious island and his experiences on it over the span of several years forged him into the Arrow, formerly the Hood, on CW’s Arrow and the Green Arrow in DC Comics’ New 52.

Spoilers.

Well, this week in Green Arrow #27 we learn that Oliver Queen was not stranded on that island by accident. It was all part of a plan.

Turns out Robert Queen, who was presumed dead, is actually alive and was behind it all. Testing Oliver on the island for what? Also, in a wink and nod to the Silver Age Green Arrow, we have the goatee back with Papa Queen.
