DC Comics April 2014 Solicitations Tease: Flash Annual #3 Features Intro Of TWO New 52 Flashes? Justice League One Million’s Future Flash John Fox AND Wally West?

News, Top Story

Incoming Flash series artist Brett Booth was recently interviewed about his new gig and how he feels about finally leading the charge to bring back Wally West in April 2014. Wally West was the Silver Age Kid Flash who grew up to be the Flash after Barry Allen during the mid-1980’s Crisis on Infinite Earths.

This DC Comics New 52 Wally West will be very different from the previous incarnation of the character. Below are some excerpts from Booth’s interview.

On how fans will react to the initial New 52 take on Wally West:

“Be open to change and wait for things to play out a bit. I know everyone’s first reaction is to flip out, myself included, but be patient.

On how Wally West will appear:

“We’re going to try to give him his own look. I can’t give too much away about that.

On the color of the costume of the non-red Flash on the cover of April 2014’s Flash Annual #3:

“Dark blue actually. It’s scenes from the issue, a collage of what’s inside with the Future Flash busting through coming to “our” time. I wasn’t sure who was going to be working on it, so I decided it might be best to give them something to work from, as it turns out, I’ll be drawing part of the issue so it gives me something already drawn to start with.

On On whether Wally West is on the cover of Flash Annual #3:

    “Wally is on the cover.

Well, that was cryptic.

Is Wally West the blue Future Flash on the cover or the kid on the right background doing the graffiti?

If the blue Future Flash is not Wally West, does that mean John Fox will makes his DC Comics New 52 debut (see right for more on pre-New 52 John Fox)?
