Murtz On The Scene: Exclusive Interview With Degrassi‘s Sarah Fisher

On January 17, I had the chance to catch up with Degrassi star Sarah Fisher.

Sarah, in a new role as a spokesperson for Kids Help Phone, appeared at a Monster Jam event at the Rogers Centre in support of their ‘Shift Gears, Stand Up, Stop Bullying campaign.”

It has been awhile since my last chat with Sarah in 2012 and it was great to have the opportunity to ask her about the positive message that was being delivered to kids across the country. We also chatted about tonight’s Degrassi winter premiere on MTV.

Sarah told me about how her character (Becky Baker), was coping with the death of Adam and if her relationship with Imogen would lead to something more. She also teased a major upcoming storyline.

One of the points that I was most interested in addressing with Sarah Fisher, was how the writers always managed to stay ahead of the curve in terms of covering topics and issues on the show that remain prevalent to kids today.

Degrassi returns to its new home on MTV tonight at 9 p.m.
