Welcome fight fans to Inside Fights’ live coverage of The Ultimate Fighter: China Finale from the CotaiArena in Cotai, Macau in China. The event is headlined by a five-round welterweight bout between Korean judo artist Dong Hyun Kim and England’s John Hathaway. This early morning card will also feature the welterweight finals of the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter: China. I’m Ryan Frederick and I’ll be handling the coverage of the event, which will see the entire fight card airing on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 6:20 AM eastern time.

NOTE: A scheduled welterweight bout between Zak Cummings and Alberto Mina was scratched from the fight card prior to Friday’s weigh-ins. Cummings was going to come in eight pounds overweight which led Mina and his camp to decide not to fight as opposed to making the bout a catchweight bout. Mina received his show and win money as a result.

Jumabieke Tuerxun vs. Mark Eddiva

Referee: Jerin Valel

ROUND 1- Both men are making their UFC debuts and have been on long layoffs. Tuerxun hasn’t fought since November 2012 while Eddiva hasn’t fought since January 2011. Jerin Valel is the referee for this opening bout. Eddiva opens with a leg kick. Tuerxun with a right hand. Eddiva with a head kick and is on the attack. Tuerxun fakes a takedown and goes high but Eddiva comes back with a right hand. Tuerxun has a takedown attempt shaken off and Eddiva lands some counter rights and knocks Tuerxun down to the mat. Eddiva gets on top and is controlling the hips of Tuerxun. Eddiva in the half-guard and is landing punches from the top. Tuerxun is looking for the hooks to get back to the feet. Eddiva with some body punches from the top. They get to their feet and are clinched against the fence but Eddiva gets the fight back down. Eddiva with a knee to the body and then some more punches. Eddiva with another knee to the body. Eddiva with a big left hand as he keeps Tuerxun planted on the mat. Eddiva with another knee to the body and then some right hands and another series of big knees. Eddiva with some left hands. Tuerxun gets back to his feet but Eddiva is looking for another takedown. Eddiva did land some borderline illegal elbows in the clinch. Eddiva with some knees in the clinch. Eddiva with some elbows to the head. Tuerxun lands a knee as he escapes this round. 10-9 Eddiva.

ROUND 2- Eddiva misses a body kick. Eddiva with a big leg kick. Tuerxun looks for a takedown but it is stuffed. Tuerxun goes for another one and has Eddiva against the fence but Eddiva uses the underhooks to keep the fight standing. Eddiva puts Tuerxun’s back against the fence and lands a knee to the body. Tuerxun drops down but Eddiva shows a good sprawl. Eddiva looks for the takedown against the fence and lands some knees to the body and then a few to the head. Knees to the thighs by Eddiva. Eddiva with some elbows and a big right hand as they break. Eddiva with a head kick and Tuerxun looks for a takedown. Tuerxun with a knee to Eddiva as they break. Eddiva slips on a head kick attempt. They trade right hands and Eddiva misses a head kick. Tuerxun misses a kick and is shown big signs of exhaustion. Tuerxun gets a takedown and pushes Eddiva against the fence. Tuerxun is on top and trying to extend Eddiva’s back on the mat. Eddiva gets up but Tuerxun has a body lock. They switch positions and Eddiva has Tuerxun against the fence and lands some knees to the body. Eddiva with short punches in the clinch and they are broken by the referee. Eddiva with a leg kick and counters a punch with a nice takedown. Eddiva with some punches from the top to end the round. 10-9 Eddiva. 20-18 Eddiva.

ROUND 3- Tuerxun likely needs a finish and this is shaping up to be a big upset. Eddiva misses a head kick and they trade punches in close range. Eddiva with a leg kick. Tuerxun misses a big right hand. Eddiva with a head kick and then defends a takedown attempt from Tuerxun. They get in a scramble and Tuerxun looks to take the back but they clinch against the fence. Eddiva looks to drive the knees to the head and body of Tuerxun. Eddiva looking for the takedown and he gets Tuerxun down to the mat briefly. Eddiva with a knee to the body. Eddiva with some punches in the clinch and is doing an excellent job of applying pressure. Eddiva with some knees to the body and lands an illegal knee that doesn’t get called as the referee was in a bad position. Tuerxun lands a nice body punch but is being controlled. Tuerxun completes a single-leg takedown but Eddiva manages to end up on top. Tuerxun scrambles but Eddiva sprawls and gets back on top. Tuerxun reverses and looks for an armbar but Eddiva escapes and ends up in Tuerxun’s guard. Eddiva with a big elbow from the top. Tuerxun with some punches from the bottom and he throws his legs up looking for a triangle choke. He has it somewhat locked in and lands some elbows from the bottom. Eddiva is looking to survive. The triangle is loose and Eddiva escapes and Tuerxun sprawls to his feet. They separate. Eddiva with a leg kick. Eddiva stuffs a takedown. Tuerxun with an elbow. Eddiva pushes Tuerxun against the fence and lands some knees as the fight concludes. 10-9 Eddiva. 30-27 Eddiva.

Albert Cheng vs. Anying Wang

Referee: Leon Roberts

ROUND 1- Both men competed on The Ultimate Fighter: China. Not a lot of experience between the two as they have just five professional fights between them. Leon Roberts is the referee. Wang is the slight betting favorite. Cheng presses forward to start the fight. Cheng fakes a front kick. Wang with a soft high body kick. Cheng with a Superman elbow. Wang misses a big head kick. Wang with a leg kick. Wang with a quick combination that lands and Cheng has to circle out. Wang with a head kick. Wang with another head kick. Cheng with a big inside elbow. Wang with an inside leg kick. They trade punches as Cheng presses forward. Wang with a solid combination. Wang with a fading combo as Cheng comes forward. Cheng with a left hook and Wang lands a leg kick. Wang with a combo as Cheng comes inside the pocket. The crowd begins to boo as there really isn’t much action. That fires Wang up as he lands a front kick. These guys come out swinging as both land solid punches. Cheng goes for a takedown but it is stuffed and Wang is in sprawl position with the neck. Cheng looks to be bleeding. Wang holding Cheng down and looks like he will ride the round out in position. 10-9 Wang.

Cheng’s eye is jacked up and closed completely and this fight has been stopped in between rounds. It looks like a broken orbital bone. No way he can continue as the doctor stops the fight.

Nam Phan vs. Vaughan Lee

ROUND 1- Both men find themselves in must-win situations as the loser could be cut. Phan is exciting but just 2-5 over his last seven fights. Lee has lost two of three. Leon Roberts is the referee. Lee comes out with a left hand in the southpaw position. Phan goes for a takedown but Lee counters with a knee and then a leg kick. Lee lands the left hand some more as he opens up. They trade punches in close range and Lee misses a big spin kick. Phan looks low for a takedown but Lee comes forward with the left hand. They trade in close range and Lee lands a solid left hand. Lee with a body kick. Lee with some body punches. Lee with a leg kick. Lee with a solid combo and lands the left hand again inside the pocket. Lee lands a big combination. Lee with another series of punches and Phan is in some trouble. Lee lands some more punches as Phan is unable to land anything. Lee with a body kick. Lee with a left hand to the body. Phan lands a right hand but Lee counters with a straight left hand. Lee with a leg kick. Phan has a takedown stuffed by Lee. Lee with a front kick to the body. Lee with a left hand and then a teet kick to the body. Lee with a spinning kick to the body. Lee with a nice combination. Lee with a body kick and then a combo to the body to close the round. 10-9  Lee.

ROUND 2- Phan needs to come out and mix it up as Lee looked excellent in the first round. Lee comes out with a straight left hand. Lee with a series of leg kicks and Phan counters with a body kick. They trade leg kicks. Lee with a spinning wheel kick that just barely lands. Lee with a right hook. Lee with a straight right hand and he is starting to hold his hands low. They trade left hands. Phan looks for a single-leg takedown but Lee defends it well and they break. Lee is looking for openings for counters and lands a leg kick. Phan with a body punch. Lee with a punch and front kick to the body. Phan with a body kick. Lee with a side kick to the body. Lee lands a solid combination. Phan with a body punch. Phan just misses a leg kick. Lee with a side kick to the body. Phan pushes Lee against the fence for a takedown but they break away. They trade leg kicks. Lee lands a nice combo. Lee with an inside leg kick. Phan with a solid combo and lands a big body kick. Both men are landing inside the pocket. Lee with a big left uppercut. Lee lands another left hand. Phan with a leg kick. Phan with a combo to the body. Lee with a straight right hand. Lee with a body kick. Round ends and it is a close one but we lean slightly towards Lee. 10-9 Lee. 20-18 Lee.

ROUND 3- Phan may need a finish here. His corner told him he was down in this fight. Phan comes out with a head kick. Phan drops down for a takedown but Lee defends and lands a right hook. Phan with a body kick. Lee with a right hook. Lee with a leg kick. Lee with a series of leg kicks. Phan with a left jab. Phan with a body punch. Lee with a double outside leg kick. They trade kicks. Lee with a left hook. Lee with an inside leg kick. Lee with a flying knee and then a left hand. Lee is really holding his hands low but Phan can’t land. Lee with a left hand. Phan is having trouble navigating the southpaw stance of Lee. Lee with a solid combo to the body. Lee with a left hand. Lee misses a spin kick to the body. The crowd starts to boo again. Lee with a body punch followed with a leg kick. Phan with a combo that misses. Lee with a front kick to the body. Lee with a nice combination. Lee with a body punch. Lee with a high kick and then a right hand followed by a left hand. Phan doesn’t have much time for a finish. Phan is bleeding from the left eye. Lee with another solid combo to the body. Lee with a right hook and a front kick to the body. Lee goes for a late takedown but the fight is going to end. Excellent performance from Lee. 10-9 Lee. 30-27 Lee.

Kazuki Tokudome vs. Yui Chul Nam

Referee: Jerin Valel

ROUND 1- Tokudome is 1-1 in the UFC. Nam is making his UFC debut but has more overall experience between the two. Nam is the betters’ favorite in this fight. Jerin Valel is the referee for this bout. Nam comes to the center of the Octagon quickly and fires off a right hand. Nam with a big series of punches and Tokudome is rocked. He is called “The Korean Bulldozer” for a reason and he shows it as he fires off. Nam drops Tokudome with a right hand and his is firing off with big punches. Another knockdown on Tokudome. Nam is firing away. Tokudome has somehow survives. Nam is landing big punches. They clinch and Nam lands some knees to the legs. Big body punches from Nam. Nam lands a big right hand and Tokduome goes down again. Nam is on top and in the full guard of Tokudome. Big left hands from Nam. Tokudome is a survivor. Nam with big punches and an elbow from the top. Hammerfists from Nam. Tokudome is looking for an armbar but Nam is landing big left hands. Tokudome is still surviving. More big punches from Nam and we are just halfway through the round. Nam moves to half-guard and lands sick elbow from the top. The crowd is going wild with chants. Tokudome sprawls out but Nam gets him back down. They get to their feet. Tokudome has a body lock and looks for a trip takedown. They trade punches and Tokudome lands a nice combo. Nam with a nice sprawl on a takedown and is now in the half-guard. Big punches from Nam. Nam sprawls and lands some body punches. Tokudome can’t get a takedown and Nam lands a big left hand. Nam’s pace is slowing and Tokudome’s eye is closing. Nam drops Tokudome for the fourth time but Tokudome somehow survives the round. Big round from Nam. 10-8 Nam.

ROUND 2- The doctor checks the eye of Tokudome but he can continue. Both men fighting as southpaws. Tokudome with a right hand and then lands a big takedown. Tokudome is on top. Nam is breathing heavy and the first round took a lot out of him. Nam tries to scramble to his feet. Tokudome has Nam pinned down on the mat. Tokudome with some soft right hands from the top. Tokudome tries to transition to the back and has one hook in. He is in a tough spot against the fence. Tokudome with right hands from the back. Tokudome still landing right hands. They aren’t making a lot of damage but a ton are landing. Nam is doing nothing right now. Tokudome with more right hands from the back. Nam with a back elbow from the bottom but Tokudome continues with the ground-and-pound. Nam is trapped on the bottom and Tokudome continues to land short right hands. Tokudome is in the half-guard. Elbow from the top by Tokudome. The referee warns them to work or a stand-up with occur. Both men land punches on the ground and the round concludes. Big comeback from Tokudome. 10-9 Tokudome. 19-18 Nam.

ROUND 3- We have ourselves a fight now. Tokudome with a big left head kick and Nam counters with a big right hand that knocks Tokudome down. They battle against the fence and Tokudome lands a takedown despite Nam holding the cage. Tokudome looks to plant Nam fully on the ground as Nam tries to scramble out. Tokudome fully extends Nam and is in the half-guard. Tokudome with some left hands from inside the half-guard. Tokudome with a short elbow. Nam tries to scramble out but being against the cage is blocking his sweeps. Nam is able to scramble to his feet but Tokudome has the neck. Tokudome switches for a takedown but can’t finish it. Nam lands an elbow and gets on top as he defends the takedown well. Nam holding Tokudome down against the fence. Nam in the half-guard and landing punches from the top. Tokudome scrambles out and they’re back to their feet. Nam with some punches and scores a takedown against the cage. Nam looks to fully extend Tokudome. Nam looks to get inside the full guard but Tokudome scrambles to his feet. They tie up against the fence. Nam with a knee to the body and they trade punches on the break. ROUND 1- Hioki is looking to snap a three-fight losing streak. Menjivar is moving back up to the featherweight division. Hioki is the betting favorite in this fight. Dan Miragliotta is the referee. Hioki with a body kick to start. They trade punches. Hioki with a body kick but Menjivar catches it and lands some punches. Hioki looks for a takedown and takes the back of Menjivar. Hioki is looking for a standing rear-naked choke. Hioki is on the back and has the hooks in on Menjivar. Menjivar was finished in this position by Urijah Faber. Menjivar looks to escape as he gets out of the hooks. Hioki still in control. Hioki with a knee to the body as Menjivar escapes and turns around. Menjivar with a body punch as they break. Menjivar with a body kick. Hioki with a body kick. Menjivar misses a front kick. Hioki locks up with Menjivar and pushes him against the fence. Menjivar with a knee as Hioki gets an underhook. Hioki has a body lock and gets a trip takedown and is in the half-guard. Hioki with some left hands from the top as he looks to pass the guard. Menjivar with body punches from the bottom. Hioki with punches from the top. Hioki passes guard into side control and Menjivar gives up his back. Hioki looks for the arm but loses position and Menjivar lands a punch. Hioki looks for a kneebar and ends on top as the round ends. 10-9 Hioki.

ROUND 2- They trade leg kicks. Menjivar with an uppercut as he looks to get inside the range of Hioki. Hioki with a body kick and he is using those to keep Menjivar on the outside. Hioki with a body kick. Menjivar with a teet kick. Hioki with an overhand right. Hioki with a body kick. Hioki with a left hand. They clinch up against the fence and Hioki gets the outside trip takedown and is right into side control. Hioki is looking to pass into the mount position as he spins Menjivar away from the cage. Menjivar spins and gives up his back and Hioki is looking to get the hooks in. Hioki has the back and transitions to an armbar. He has it and moves to a triangle as Menjivar is escaping. Menjivar gets out and is on top. Menjivar with a right hand from the top and grabs the neck. Menjivar with a knee to the body. Hioki grabs Menjivar and gets the takedown and is on top in the half-guard. Menjivar locks down the right leg as Hioki looks to pass guard and does pass into side control. Hioki with elbows from the side. Hioki tries to move into mount but Menjivar spins out. Menjivar with body punches from the bottom. Hioki is hurt and clinches with Menjivar. Menjivar with a big elbow. Menjivar with a right hand. Hioki lands a right hand. Hioki with a body kick. Hioki with a body punch and Menjivar lands a nice elbow. Menjivar is looking to set up landing that big right hand. Menjivar with a head kick. Hioki lands a one-two combination. ROUND 1- Mitrione is 1-3 over his last four fights while Jordan is looking to rebound from a loss that ended a win streak. This fight is a toss-up according to the betting odds. Dan Miragliotta is the referee. Mitrione immediately looks to land the right hand. They are trading in close range quickly. Mitrione with a leg kick. Jordan forces a clinch against the fence. Jordan with short knees and they break. They trade short punches. Jordan with an inside leg kick. Jordan with a left hand right as Mitrione lands a left hand. They trade punches. Mitrione with a left hand. Mitrione with a leg kick after Jordan landed an uppercut. Jordan with a nice combination. Mitrione with a right hook. Mitrione with a quick combo. They exchange punches. Mitrione backs Jordan up with a left hand. Mitrione lands a quick right hand. Jordan lands a combination. Jordan lands a big left hand. Mitrione with a leg kick and Jordan looks for a takedown. They are tied up against the fence. Mitrione switches positions. Mitrione with body punches. Mitrione with short punches and then hurts Jordan with some punches. ROUND 1- This is the welterweight finals of The Ultimate Fighter: China. Wang is the favorite in this fight as he was during his time on the show. Jerin Valel is the referee. Wang with a leg kick to start the fight. Zhang misses a big right hand. Wang with two leg kicks and then a body kick. Zhang with a body kick and Wang counters with a body kick. Wang with a leg kick. Zhang misses a leg kick and so does Wang. Wang with an inside leg kick. Wang just lands a grazing leg kick. Zhang with a right hand and Wang counters with a left hook. Wang with a body kick and then a leg kick and another. Wang with another leg kick. Zhang with a leg kick and then gets a takedown into side control. Zhang takes the back and has the hooks in and is looking for the choke. Zhang has the body lock and lands some punches from the back. Wang is trying to escape as Zhang looks for a transition to the arm. Zhang has his arm under the neck and has a tight choke locked in. Wang is holding on and somehow escapes. Wow. Wang is on top now and in the guard. Wang with some elbows from inside the guard. Zhang working with rubber guard but he may have worn himself out looking for the choke. Wang postures up and goes back into the guard but gets caught in a triangle choke. Wang escapes and takes the back and looks for a choke of his own. The round ends with Wang on the back. Close round goes to Zhang due to the near finish. 10-9 Zhang.

ROUND 2- Wang with an inside leg kick. Wang with a body kick. Zhang misses a big overhand right. Zhang ducks under a right hand and gets a quick takedown but Wang gets right back to his feet. Wang gets the back of Zhang against the fence. Wang with a knee as Zhang looks for a takedown. Wang with some elbows to Zhang as Zhang looks to get this fight to the mat. Wang with a knee to the body. Zhang drops down and Wang lands an elbow. Illegal knee from Wang lands and we have a brief break. The referee warns Wang and action resumes. Zhang gets a takedown as he counters a right hand. Zhang has a body lock and is looking to finish the takedown as he has the back. Zhang with a big knee and gets the takedown. Zhang gets another big takedown and has the back and is looking for the hooks and the choke. Wang with a back elbow as he escapes. Zhang tries to roll out to his feet and Wang gets to his feet. Wang goes into Zhang’s guard with a right hand. Zhang goes to rubber guard and is looking for a triangle. Wang ends the round on top. 10-9 Wang, 19-19.

ROUND 3- This fight is still up for grabs. Wang with some leg kicks to start the final round. Wang lands some punches. Zhang goes for a takedown but Wang sprawls and lands some punches. Wang goes into the guard of Zhang. Zhang lands some punches from the bottom but Wang is firmly established on top. The referee stands them up as there is a lack of action. Zhang with a right hand and goes for a takedown but Wang sprawls and looks to land the back. Wang has the back and is looking for the hooks and the choke. Wang with punches from the back as Zhang lands some over the shoulder punches. Zhang rolls and spins into the full guard of Wang. Wang with elbows from the bottom. Wang looks to scramble out and does. Wang gets to his feet as Zhang stays on the mat. Wang with some leg kicks to the downed Zhang. Wang with a stomp to the body and then some leg kicks. Zhang looks to bait Wang in for a takedown but Wang goes into the full guard of Zhang. Wang with some body punches. Zhang looks to work with rubber guard but doesn’t look to be going for the finish. Wang with a big right hand inside the guard and he is going to finish the fight in this position. Wait, they are stood up with ten seconds left. ROUND 1- Time for the five-round main event. Both men are on three-fight win streaks. Hathaway hasn’t fought since September 2012 and has battled Crohn’s Disease. Kim is the favorite in this fight. Leon Roberts will officiate the main event. Kim presses forward and Hathaway tries to use kicks and knees to back Kim up. Kim lands some big punches and Hathaway is hurt early. Kim with another big left hand as they clinch up. Hathaway has Kim’s back against the fence and is looking for a takedown and gets it. Kim gets right back to his feet. Kim reverses positions and they break. They trade short punches and Kim lands a big left hand and they clinch again. Hathaway with a knee to the body and then another as they are tied up against the fence. They break. They trade and Hathaway lands a flying knee. Kim with a nice short elbow. They both land punches. Kim misses a lunging left hand. They tie up again and Hathaway has the advantage and is looking for the takedown. They break. Hathaway misses a head kick but gets in a leg kick. Kim is holding his hands low. Hathaway with a teet kick and Kim lands a big left hand and Hathaway is down and in trouble. Kim with some ground and pound and Hathaway is surviving as Kim goes into Hathaway’s full guard. Hathaway with elbows from the bottom. Kim looks to posture up. Hathaway with an upkick from the bottom as Kim gets to a standing position. Kim with a big body punch. Hathaway goes for a triangle choke but Kim gets out and postures up. Hathaway gets to his feet. Kim misses a spinning back fist as a fun opening round ends. 10-9 Kim.

ROUND 2- Kim comes forward and Hathaway is looking for an opening. Hathaway with a couple of step-in knees to the body. Kim forces a tie-up and has a body lock against the fence. Big right hand from Hathaway on the break and another flying knee. They clinch again and this time Hathaway has Kim against the cage but they break. Hathaway with a right hand and Kim’s pace has slowed in only the second round. Hathaway with a short elbow and they clinch again by the fence. They break and have a wild exchange. Hathaway with a right hand and they tie-up against the fence before breaking. Hathaway with a left hand and then a left hook. Hathaway looks for a takedown as they clinch and lands an elbow.
