DVD Reviews, Reviews

Lalaloopsy is a Nickelodeon show about living rag dolls in a stitched up kind of world. Friends Are Sew Special features a quartet of episodes that have a handicraft attitude. The DVD includes the episodes “Dot’s Moon Mission,” “Princess Parade,” “Spotitis” and “Flight Plan.” The episodes appear to appeal to small kids. Here’s Josie’s take on the DVD set and the bonus surprise:

The video is 1.78:1 anamorphic. The transfers bring out the sewing charms of the show. The audio is Dolby Digital Stereo. The levels are fine. The episodes are Closed Captioned.

Sew Cute Lacing Kit allows your small child to practice putting a shoelace through holes in various shapes. It’s a nice exercise for small hands.

Lalaloopsy: Friends Are Sew Special is fun for kids who enjoy stitched together cartoon characters. The lacing kit will give them something to do while watching the four episodes.

Nickelodeon and Paramount present Lalaloopsy: Friends Are Sew Special. Starring: Lalaloopsy. Rated: G. Boxset Contents. 4 Episodes on 1 DVD. Released: February 4, 2014.
