Rich Franklin’s fighting career has been virtually over for some time since his knockout loss to Cung Le at the UFC’s debut in Macau. He has been waiting for one final fight to walk away from, it seems, but turned down one in his native Cincinatti (which seems to have been a proper sendoff). Now Franklin seems to be walking away from a fighting career and one into management.
Per his Facebook page:
“I have been in talks with ONE FC about taking a job with them. They offered me a position as VP. I will be heading to ONE FC headquarters in the next few weeks to work out the details. I met with Dana and Lorenzo at the end of last year and they gave me their blessing. I will keep you posted.”
