It was confirmed today that Dan Henderson vs. Dan Cormier will be the co-main event of UFC 173. The bout, headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Renan Barao and T.J Dillashaw, was announced by Dana White as official on ESPN Wednesday morning.
Cormier is on a three fight win streak in the UFC and this will mark his second fight at light heavyweight. Cormier finished Patrick Cummins in under two minutes at UFC 170.
Henderson was on a three fight losing streak until knocking out Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC Fight Night (Shogun vs. Henderson).
