William J Myers Pavillion – Baltimore, MD – Saturday, June 7, 2014

Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino are commentary. They announce that Matt Taven is out of Defy or Deny 3 but don’t explain it yet. They hype the rest of the show and then get to the first match.

MATCH #1: War Machine vs. BJ Whitmer & Adam Page

The Decade has TaDarius Thomas in their corner. Page and Raymond Rowe start the match. Rowe manhandles Page for a while, and Hanson tags in to do more of the same. Whitmer takes a cheap shot from the apron to help his waterboy and take control on Rowe. The Decade isolates Rowe and keeps him in their half of the ring. Time for a commercial break. When we come back the Decade still has Rowe on the defensive. Page misses a dive from the top rope and Rowe flattens him with a hard uranage slam. Hanson gets the tag and he starts throwing Page around. The referee loses control and all four men are brawling in the ring. Whitmer takes Rowe out with a knee. Hanson kills Whitmer with a clothesline. Page takes Hanson down and hits a Red Star Press for two. Rowe hits Whitmer with a belly-to-belly suplex. He picks Page up and Hanson goes to the top rope and hits a legdrop (which they call The Fallout) to get the pin.

WINNERS – War Machine

After a commerical break, Veda Scott and Ramone come out. Ramone’s sign says #TheNewStreak is up to 113-0. Veda says the Streak will not be on the line tonight because R.D. Evans isn’t here. She gets interrupted by The Romantic Touch, who is still smitten with her. Touch brings her a rose and says some Romantic things to her. Veda seems moved by the gestures but is trying not to be. She tells Titus to close his eyes, and then she kicks him in the junk. Veda tells Touch “never in a million years.”

MATCH #2: J. Diesel, Moose & Vinny Marseglia vs. Team Benchmark & Zizou Middoux

Brutal Bob joins the commentators for this match. Team Benchmark is Bill Daly and Will Ferrera. Diesel and Middoux start the match, with Diesel taking the early advantage. Diesel fights back, and I get the feeling we’re going to see a lot of offense here as everyone is going to want to get their stuff in (understandably so). My cable feed cut out for a little bit here, but I don’t think I msised anything huge. Moose gets a tag in and he immediately throws everyone around and sends all of his opponents to the floor. Marseglia wipes out Team Benchmark, and Middoux gets back in the ring. Moose destroys Middoux with a Spear to get the win.

WINNERS – Vinny Marseglia, J. Diesel & Moose

MATCH #3: Defy or Deny – Adam Cole vs. “The Zombie Princess” Jimmy Jacobs vs. Mark Briscoe

Michael Elgin joins the commentators. Jacobs is accompanied by Adam Page and TaDarius Thomas. If either Jacobs or Briscoe get eliminated they will not be eligible for another title shot as long as Cole is the Champion. But if they win, they earn another shot at the title. The action starts off hot, with both Jacobs and Mark doing everything they can to beat on the Champion. Cole wisely takes a breather and lets Jacobs and Mark beat each other up instead. Time for a commercial break. When we come back Cole is still lounging outside the ring, but Mark quickly changes that with a dropkick throught he ropes. Mark then hits Jacobs with a springboard missile dropkick. He goes outside the ring to whip Cole into the barricade. Back in the ring all three men resume the breakneck pace that’s hard to keep up with. Jacobs almost eliminates Cole with a Spear, and then he turns it into the End Time. Cole breaks out of that with the vertical suplex neckbreaker, and then Mark drills Cole with a shotgun dropkick. Mark goes up and hits Jacobs with the Froggy ‘Bow. Cole takes Mark out with a superkick and then steals the pin on Jacobs to score the first elimination. That means no more title shots for Jacobs while Cole is Champion. Time for a commercial break.

When we come back Mark is firing up with his Redneck Kung Fu. Cole cuts him off but it doesn’t last, as Mark hits a Finlay Roll. Mark goes up top and Cole crotches him. Cole goes for a superplex but Mark shoves him down and follows with the Froggy ‘Bow. Mark almost gets the pin but Cole gets his foot on the bottom rope. Cole rolls to the floor and Mark gives him no respite with a Cactus Elbow. Back in the ring they go back and forth until Cole lands a superkick to the back of the head, another superkick, and then the Florida Key to get the pin. Now Mark Briscoe will receive no more title shots at Adam Cole either.

WINNER – Adam Cole

Elgin gets in the ring ton confront the Champion. He says that the title belt is going to look real good around his waist. They go nose to nose as we fade out.

I grew up and now I write for Inside Pulse. Oh, and one time I saw a blimp!
