The Simpsons To Kill Off Major Character In Season Premiere

News

Apparently, even animated characters aren’t safe.

The longest-running comedy on television will kill off a major character when it returns for its incredible 26th season. EW is reporting that The Simpsons will feature the death of a ‘familiar face’ in its season premiere. Citing an interview with executive producer Al Jean, the site is reporting that the character in question has appeared in more than two episodes, and that the the actor who voices the character has claimed an Emmy for her/her performance in the role.

More hints were dropped about the death at FOX’s presentation for the Television Critics Association summer press tour as Jean added that the character could potentially return in flashbacks or as a ghost.

The season premiere, which is titled “Clown in the Dumps” airs September 28 on Fox.

Any guesses as to who it will be?
